It is also the symbol of agropastoralism, you will find typical caussenarde farms of the region. At the bend of a walk, you will certainly see <strong class=\"bold color2\">cardabelles<\/strong> or <strong class=\"bold color2\">carlines with acanthus leaves<\/strong> : these plants similar to artichokes which flower in summer or early autumn and have a magical power .<\/p>\n<p>The inhabitants are the fervent defenders of <strong class=\"bold color2\">traditional values<\/strong> and <strong class=\"bold color2\">authentic<\/strong> which they knew how to represent and still perpetuate today. The art of good living and eating well holds a major place through the many <strong class=\"bold color2\">producer markets<\/strong> that take place in July and August.<\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"bold color2\">The Larzac : a land of protest that will mark you forever !<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"element bloc-text justify supperpose supperpose-left bg-white p-x-3 p-y-1 m-0\">\n\t<h2 class=\"element section-title left color2 m-t-3 in-view animated slideInUp\" style=\"opacity: 1;\">Cirque de Navacelles<\/h2>\n<p><strong class=\"bold color2\">One of the Great Sites of France and Occitania<\/strong> : the Circus of Navacelles!<\/p>\n<p>This landscape shaped by nature is a major site near the 2 Vall\u00e9es campsite, located about 50 minutes away by car. It was formed gradually by the meanders of the river la Vis between the <strong class=\"bold color2\">Gorges des Causses du Larzac<\/strong> and the <strong class=\"bold color2\">Blandas<\/strong>. You will observe at length this exceptional panorama and vertiginous <\/p>\n<p>Le Cirque de Navacelles : <strong class=\"bold color2\">one of the largest canyon in Europe<\/strong> for a breathtaking view in the H\u00e9rault! <\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"element bloc-text justify supperpose supperpose-left bg-white p-x-3 p-y-1 m-0\">\n\t<h2 class=\"element section-title left color2 m-t-3 in-view animated slideInUp\" style=\"opacity: 1;\">Mont Aigoual<\/h2>\n<p><strong class=\"bold color2\">Mount Aigoual<\/strong> : a summit and a weather observatory at the same time!<\/p>\n<p>At an altitude of 1,567 m, it is the highest point in the Gard department and is 40 km from Nant. Ideally located for <strong class=\"bold color2\"> outdoor activities in the forest<\/strong> with dedicated trails accessible to the whole family. It is also a mountain weather station which allows an extraordinary view. The transhumance of the sheep that move from the plain to the mountains takes place every year in mid-June. This festival is the occasion to <strong class=\"bold color2\">discover the know-how of the shepherds<\/strong> (shearing, work of the herd dogs, etc&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>In good weather and if you have a lynx&#8217;s eye, you can even see the <strong class=\"bold color2\">Mediterranean sea<\/strong> !<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n<section id=\"section-map\"\" class=\"section bg-white p-t-0 p-b-0\" \/><div class=\"container full\"><div class=\"carte\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/d\/embed?mid=1u9yjSR4l11x9q30YDhE_bLCnR3CNtE0p\"><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n<section id=\"section-bar\"\" class=\"section bg-white\" \/><div class=\"container extralarge\"><div class=\"colonnes-wrap valign-middle m-b-4\"><div class=\"element colonne \"><div class=\"element bloc-text justify supperpose supperpose-right bg-white p-x-3 p-y-1 m-0\">\n\t<h2 class=\"element section-title left color2 m-t-3 in-view animated slideInUp\" style=\"opacity: 1;\">Aubrac Plateau <\/h2>\n<p><strong class=\"bold color2\">L&#8217;Aubrac<\/strong> : a natural environment preserved in its purest form.<\/p>\n<p>It is a high plateau <strong class=\"bold color2\">volcanic and granitic<\/strong> which extends over 3 departments : Aveyron, Cantal and Loz\u00e8re. To take a breath of fresh air, you will be able to practice different activities in this wild place : hiking in Aveyron, cycling or horse riding, but also take part in the transhumance of the cows which takes place every year on the last weekend of May. <\/p>\n<p>During your stay, a break to connect with nature will be welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong class=\"bold color2\">Take a breath of fresh air for a moment<\/strong> and <strong class=\"bold color2\">take a little walk on the Aubrac<\/strong>, you will come back fit and relaxed!<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"element bloc-text justify supperpose supperpose-right bg-white p-x-3 p-y-1 m-0\">\n\t<h2 class=\"element section-title left color2 m-t-3 in-view animated slideInUp\" style=\"opacity: 1;\">The source of the Durzon<\/h2>\n<p><strong class=\"bold color2\">The source of the Durzon<\/strong> : a haven of peace just 7 km from the 2 Vall\u00e9es campsite !<\/p>\n<p>The Durzon is a watercourse which runs alongside the campsite and has its source only a few kilometres away. It&#8217;s a wonderful hike which is possible from the campsite to make you discover a unique place, far from everything, where only the sound of the water will disturb you. Hold on, this is a <strong class=\"bold color2\">geological natural phenomenon<\/strong> that was created nearly 300 million years ago. This setting may remind you of some similarities with the <strong class=\"bold color2\">American Colorado<\/strong>, so once again you can escape completely at the turn of a walk. <\/p>\n<p>A unique heritage to discover absolutely during your holidays in the region!<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"element bloc-text justify supperpose supperpose-left bg-white p-x-3 p-y-1 m-0\">\n\t<h2 class=\"element section-title left color2 m-t-3 in-view animated slideInUp\" style=\"opacity: 1;\">Dourbie Gorge<\/h2>\n<p>Between Nant and Millau : the <strong class=\"bold color2\">verdoyant Dourbie Gorges<\/strong> are calling you!<\/p>\n<p>During your stay at the campsite, you are very close to these gorges quite similar to its cousins : the Gorges of the Tarn and the Jonte. The Gorges de la Dourbie offer you a <strong class=\"bold color2\">preserved natural setting<\/strong> and have kept a wild aspect. The river &#8220;La Dourbie&#8221; dug these gorges for a long time and it is one of the most beautiful rivers in France. <\/p>\n<p>Stop for a moment in a <strong class=\"bold color2\">exceptional place<\/strong> nested in the heart of a postcard landscape : the Moulin de Corp. There you will find, among other things, high quality charcuteries, cheeses such as the famous Roquefort, the peraglio with sheep&#8217;s milk, the tomes with cow&#8217;s milk or the Bleu des Causses. The <strong class=\"bold color2\">specialities of the Aveyron<\/strong> will be honoured, as will tripous or far\u00e7ous. Discover also different <strong class=\"bold color2\">local pastries<\/strong> : the fouace, the flaune, the spit cake or the scalded ones.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, <strong class=\"bold color2\">some summer evenings in Nant<\/strong>, you will enjoy night markets where you will be able to find handcrafted objects to eat.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, <strong class=\"bold color2\">farmers&#8217; markets of producers<\/strong> are organized in the evening at <strong class=\"bold color2\">le Larzac<\/strong>, from 6 pm, every Wednesday at <strong class=\"bold color2\">Montredon<\/strong> and every Friday at <strong class=\"bold color2\">hamlet of Potensac<\/strong>. The quality of the local products is claimed there. On the spot, you will taste grilled meats accompanied by the famous Aligot, a mixture of mashed potatoes and fresh tome, also called &#8220;the ribbon of friendship. &#8220;Home-made and organic products will be on display (local wines, syrups, ice creams, walnut cakes, etc&#8230;).  <\/p>\n<p>The atmosphere there will ensure you to spend a pleasant moment of conviviality, all in
